Drapery Trims by Samuel & Sons
The Shade Store offers a curation of window treatment trims by Samuel & Sons, the industry leader in fine passementerie. Available in 16 beautiful styles, these decorative tapes and tassels can be added to drapery, Roman shades, cornices and pillows to make any space instantly more distinguished.
The Samuel & Sons Designer Collection features patterns and colors from their most notable collections, taking inspiration from a variety of aesthetics. There are a variety of qualities, style and fibers in the collection, from the Capella Mohair Border — a luxurious lofty, multi-color mohair bouclé border — to the more casual Seychelles Wood Bead Fringe, which combines natural cotton with wood.
Samuel & Sons understands the power a window can have on any space, and has carefully selected their materials to perfectly complement The Shade Store’s window treatment offerings. Depending on the drapery style you choose for your windows, trim may be applied to the leading edge, return, or both.
What are drapery borders?
In addition to trims, we also offer drapery borders using our in-stock fabrics. A drapery border is a decorative fabric sewn to the leading edge and/or the bottom of window drapery for a more customized look. The Shade Store offers three types of borders:
A Leading Edge Border is a great way to frame your favorite views and add subtle contrast to your window drapery. The Shade Store can apply borders from 1 to 3 inches to your drapery.
A Bottom Border is an easy way to add elegance and depth to your window drapery. The Shade Store can apply bottom borders from 2 to 30 inches to your drapery.
The Shade Store also gives you the option to add both a Leading Edge & Bottom Border to your window drapery. Leading edge borders can be 1 to 3 inches and bottom borders can be 2 to 30 inches.
